Hey all ten of you.  This is my first journal entry, and I'm going to use it to give some info about myself and to share an opportunity to win some pony plushes with you.  

I have begun my first year at the best University in the world (it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which one from my recent upload), and I am loving it.  I am working on a serious research project already as a first-year about insect biodiversity in Mexico.  This along with a mild 15 credit class load means that I will likely have some time (actually probably more than last year) to take photos and create art.  

I have always enjoyed taking photographs of nature, and with my recent purchase of a much higher quality, yet still far from professional, camera, I will likely begin to upload some of my better images.
